Comments from the author, staff and cast of Attack on Titan: The Musical

Original author: Hajime Isayama

When I heard about this stage production, I was worried because of the very sad accident that occurred in the past.

However, I believe that the people involved in the stage are very aware of the situation and will take the utmost care in putting on the show.

I would like to congratulate and look forward to this stage production.

Above all, I hope that both the viewers and the creators will enjoy Attack on Titan, now that the serialization has ended.

Thank you very much.

Eren Yeager: Kurumu Okamiya

Attack on Titan: The Musical / Kurumu Okamiya as Eren Yeager

Attack on Titan will be turned into a musical.

As a reader, I am really enjoying this work, and I would like to create it with great care, building it up one by one so that I can fully embody myself as Eren Yeager.

It may be difficult for people to casually come to see this work because it is filled with negative emotions such as human anger and sadness.

However, I would like to deliver such raw emotions and strong feelings of facing up to despair with the kind of passion that only the stage can provide.

I am sure that the work will exceed your expectations. I hope you will come and see it.

Director: Gō Ueki

When I first read the original work, I was overwhelmed by the visuals of the Titans and felt threatened by their spouting steam, bare muscles, and eyes glinting from between their bones, and I was captivated by this work.

The image of Eren and his friends fighting for freedom from the walled world is powerful and overlaps with our own struggle against the current difficult situation.

We will direct this production with the utmost sincerity so that all those who love Attack on Titan will be able to support us.

Weekly Shonen Magazine Editorial Department

The Attack on Titan will become a musical.

As many of you know, we had to cancel the stage once announced in 2017 due to an unforeseen accident.

This time, it will be a different company’s effort, but the editorial department would like to take a sincere approach to this stage, taking into consideration the staff, performers, people involved, and customers at that time.

We will put safety first and foremost, and we will make sure that everyone involved will enjoy the show.
